A crafty man in Montreal is making headlines after he created a makeshift car out of snow and “parked” it in a snow removal spot for police officers to find.

With a couple of hours to spare after Monday’s storm in Montreal, Simon Laprise found a hilarious way to keep busy.

The 33-year-old machinist decided to play a prank on snow removal crews in his neighborhood by forming a car out of snow.

According to Fox LA, the snow car was modeled after the Delorean DMC-12 from Back to the Future.

To make sure his plan went off without a hitch, Laprise went above and beyond by adding windshield wipers to the car, which looked like a real vehicle that had been entirely covered in thick snow to unsuspecting passersby.

Since the car was parked in a snow removal zone, police officers quickly got out their ticket books to give the driver a citation.

It didn’t take long before they realized the car was made entirely of snow!

In the end, officers did give Laprise a citation, writing: "You made our night hahahahaha :)"

While snow plows did end up destroying the snow car in the morning, Laprise likes to think it was “towed to the snow depot.”

Fortunately for the rest of us, so many people stopped to take pictures of the snow car that Laprise still has tons of photos of his amazing creation.

After photos of Laprise’s incredible creative were shared online, commenters praised the machinist for his hard work, especially in such harsh weather.

“My kinda guy! I would have paid to see them rub the snow off the windshield so they can try to scan the registration for a ticket!” one woman commented.

Another added: “Hate to see those cops faces once this pic was sent back to the Montreal PD.Their mates would've been killing themselves laughing at those two walking back in doors. 'How's the Prof and Biff going boys?’”

“Wonder how long it took him to find the license plate,” one commenter wrote.

“I used to be a Flight Attendant and I remember staying the night in Montreal and the crew and I went out to get some dinner and it was so slippery walking down the street we all kept falling down. We were laughing so hard. The ride back to the airport the next morning was terrifying. The driver was obviously used to it but going way faster than even us Minnesotans were used to. Beautiful city though!!” another added.
